Out and About: Still need a cell signal for GPS to work (12:00 7-12-09) (The Danville Advocate-Messenger)

Last week I intimated that I thought that an iPhone GPS would work even if there were no cellular towers in the immediate vicinity. A dead zone would be the usual terminology for this problem. I know that my present cellular phone will not pick up where I hunt.
